2019 Team Policy

Our Commitment

Essendon Royals is a football club focused on football development. Our team policy primarily aims to provide as many opportunities as possible for players to compete at high levels and play in age appropriate, skill appropriate competitions. There are social aspects to football and we also aim to provide teams that provide social, fun only competitions. In 2019, Essendon Royals is going through a high level of transition and as a result we have geared our 2019 Team Policy towards:

  • Providing as many teams and playing positions as possible with the available facilities and coaches given the redevelopment of Cross Keys and changes to conditions of ground usage

  • Improving the standard of our A and B graded Junior Teams to prepare for the major competition changes being introduced by Football Federation Victoria to Junior Competitions in 2020 and the general Essendon Royals direction to have highly capable teams in the U13-U16 category.
