Kids' Corner | Under-12 Blacks and Under-14 Blues
The army of Essendon Royals juniors continue to impress coaches, parents, supporters and opponents alike with their fantastic endeavor and application of the Royals philosophy.
The Queens Birthday weekend might have been a long weekend for some, but for the Royals family it was another busy weekend full of football and fun.
This week, we take a look at two of our high-performing boys teams, our under-14 blues and our under-12 blacks.
The Royals coaching team is committed to providing our many talented players with every opportunity to continue to develop and we have two great programs coming up.
Senior and under-14 blues coach Vaughan Coveny, a former New Zealand international and all-time leading goalscorer, will be running a clinic these school holidays.
Participants will get access to two fantastic days of training under Vaughan's guidance and is a great way to keep the kids active over the break.

The Royals also announced the return of the Essendon Royals Technical Football Program.
This program is run by our B Licensed coaches Matt Conservano and Johnno Clemente, who also oversees the Royals senior women's program.
The Technical Football program is an eight-week program running every Wednesday.

Coached By: Ted Ball
Team Sponsors: Coburg Super Finish, Ennio Motors, Moonee Valley Conveyancing
The Under-12 Blacks have shown fantastic progression under the watchful eye of Ted Ball this season.
Placed in a tough competition, the boys have risen to the challenge putting in a series of top-quality performances.
Backed by one of the club's major sponsors, Coburg Super Finish, the boys have made the most of the support and look fantastic in their kit.
Steven Iliopoulos, son of Coburg Super Finish's Peter Iliopoulos, even scored this absolute ripper of a goal on Sunday.
The goal was wonderfully timed with his grandfather coming all the way from Queensland to visit.
Here are some more great pics of the team in action.
Coached By: Vaughan Coveny
Team Sponsors: Arbonne, Trieste Social, Carerra Motors
The Under-14 Blues have enjoyed the tutelage of senior coach Vaughan Coveny this year and have shown tremendous improvements.
"The boys have progressed ever so well," he said.
"There are a lot of new faces in the team but they have bonded well and are performing at an excellent level.
"They are a pleasure to work with. They are willing to learn and their efforts in games have been phenomenal."
The 14 Blues are very lucky to have all their games recorded and highlights uploaded by Julia Louloudis, which helps provide the kids invaluable insights into their games and where they can improve.
Coupled with the expert coaching of Coveny, this team is well set to achieve great things for the Royals.

“A really great match at home for U10W today. It’s not always about the result but they did really well today and never gave up, losing 4-5 then winning the the match 6-5.”
