FREE CLINIC | Essendon Royals announce free female football clinic in conjunction with Tour of Hope

Essendon Royals is hosting a free open clinic for all female footballers this Saturday, 2 November, 2019.

The clinic, held in conjunction with the Tour of Hope, will take place at Cross Keys Reserve and gets underway at 5 pm.

This is the perfect opportunity for prospective female players looking to join the Royals in 2020, or take up football for the first time next season to come and learn more about the club and the opportunities for females looking to take up the sport.

Returning Essendon Royals players are more than welcome to attend the clinic, as well as new players.

Prior to the clinic, senior women’s coach Mick Gallo will be running a session for senior and under-18 players.

The clinic is being run in partnership with Tour of Hope.

The tour has been designed to assist and support local refugee communities and ethnic minority groups through local football programs.

In doing so, it has attracted a number of former Brazilian international and stars to Australia, who will be present at the Essendon Royals clinic this Saturday.

The stars include 1994 World Cup winner Paulo Sergio, former Chelsea player Mineiro, 1986 and 1990 World Cup player Silas, Bundesliga champion Antonio and former international Elivelton.

The open female football clinic will run from 5 pm - 6 pm and will be followed by an exhibition match featuring a mix of Essendon Royals seniors and the Brazilian stars in a spectacle not to be missed.

Best of all, this clinic is completely free and open to all female footballers.

Come down and meet the Brazilians, as well as our very own senior players and coaches, including our inaugural female football Technical Director, Jess Gallo.
