SEASON 2020 | Returning junior Adam Nakic commits to Essendon Royals
Essendon Royals have boosted their senior men’s team with the addition of former Melbourne Victory youth player, Adam Nakic.
Nakic is a former Essendon Royals junior player and played youth football at Melbourne Victory before stints in the National Premier Leagues with Pascoe Vale and Saint Albans Saints and now becomes the latest addition to Vitale Ferrante’s squad.
“I played here close to 15 years ago as a kid, so I guess there was a bit of a feel-good factor coming back to the club,” he said.
“It’s great to see Vitale coaching here and I know the Tribuzios pretty well too and a few of the other boys I’ve played with before as well, so everything has fallen into place pretty nicely and its good to be back.”
Nakic said he was excited to join the club ahead of what is promising to be an exciting season for the senior men with Ferrante at the helm.
“I’ve played under ‘V’ for a bit and I know he’s not one to go out there and want to lose and I know he’s going to be working hard to put together a good squad so I think we will be able to shoot up the ladder this year.”
